• 1 in 4 women have experienced violence by an intimate partner since the age of 15

• 1 woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner

• More than 74 thousand calls to safe step’s crisis line - that’s 200+ calls every day

• On any given night, 104 women and children were in crisis accommodation

• 1712 women and 1503 children are provided with crisis services and accommodation to escape family violence

• Women are 4 times more likely than men to be hospitalised after being assaulted by their spouse or partner
